G Herbo x Yung Lords Collaboration

Though often unrecognized, many Black men, women, and children across America suffer from a form of PTSD- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or what Vic Mensa has termed- “Post Traumatic Streets Disorder.” PTSD the documentary takes an insider look at how many Black families experience the same psychological symptoms and effects that a military combat veteran or soldier would experience in an active war zone, when losing friends, family and loved ones to gun violence all while combating systemic powers like education system, and police brutality.

G Herbo’s Yung Lords feature takes an inside look into PTSD experienced and the larger American institutions that inflict this trauma. Throughout the interview we touched on a number of topics including how the rapper has been working to provide resources to combat this issue and uplift Chicago youth, the need for more youth recreational centers, and the advice that he gives to young kids who are looking to follow their dreams and passions.
